A Lovely Award

Aviary mindtransfer-net Picture 1A backlink is defined as a link from one website pointing back to your site , and what every blog needs is one-way non-reciprocal backlinks. A blog meme is a viral game where you generate links and relationships through asking other bloggers  to participate. The changes Google has made to determining authority and PageRank means obtaining backlinks has become a challenge, and blog memes are legitimate means of securing backlinks.

Elle at Chasing Education has selected this time ~ this space for the One Lovely Blog Award.

  1. Well, I have found that I can’t yet keep two blogs going. Count Sneaky’s Journal will continue, but I couldn’t keep up the Tumblr blog. Each week seems to find us both in and out of doctor’s offices and cat scans, x-rays, and blood test…so we don’t have a lot of spare time left after eating out, buying stuff, and riding back and forth, and horsing around. So I hated to, but I had to drop Tumblr. Helen, now has to have breast surgery next month and hopefully it will be benign as it appears to be now. Here colon cancer operation recovery has gone well and my 6 recent phlebotemies seem to have lowered my red blood cell count back to normal. Hope you are free from shingles and pain. As someone once said, “Pain is the greatest teacher, but what the hell is the lesson?” My best.

  2. My dear timethief, I have opened a new blog in tumblr following your lead in all things technical and aesthetic. Being the technophobe that I am, I would appreciate any thoughts about this new venture into more blogging. I am having a time trying to master the basics on this one. Thanks. (countsneaky.tumblr.com)
.-= Count Sneaky´s last blog ..Count Sneaky cage rattling… =-.

    • I am now following you on tumblr. I like your new quotation blog there and it doesn’t look like you need any help from me. I find tumblr to be very easy to use once one catches on to the basics. :)

  3. Thanks for the mention, timethief!

Eventually, I’ll sort out a post full of all my own favorite blogs… but I want to do it well… and I’m currently busy with a couple of different series of posts on my site.

In the mean time, I have finished a review of your site that I have been meaning to do for a long time…

Click the link below to take a look!

    keep smiling,

  4. Hi TT! Thanks so much for the award! I really appreciate it. I saw some interesting links in your reading list I’ll be sure to check them out! I will post the award soon on my blog! Thanks again and have a lovely day! Ciao, TJ
.-= TJ Lubrano´s last blog ..Happy Birthday Derek and… =-.

  5. Hello Timethief,

    You have absolutely wonderful blog.
Thank you for the connection with other Bloggers.
I like the idea of keeping in touch.

PS: Thank you for visiting my poetry blog.
    Best always,
    .-= ZuzannaM´s last blog ..BEAUTIFUL FLOWER =-.

  6. Thank you very much for a lovely award. I quite assure you that if I knew what I was doing I would do more of it for everyone I could. I’m very glad you are free of the shingles. This is a very debilitating condition. I once watched my mother suffer through it.Knowing that I am at risk, I took the new vaccine for shingles and so far it has worked. I suppose I was born to be a follower of the Buddha’s insights. Most of my life, since, from the earliest times of my life,I couldn’t stop asking why. At this late age in my life, I no longer ask why as such questions have no answer, or as Buddha reminded us, irrelevant, and we must guide our own boat by whatever stars seem reasonable to us. We are what we think. So,I’m doing this blog because I enjoy doing it and because wonderful people like you enjoy it.Thank you. Namaste

    • Hello there.
Thanks for accepting the award. I’m happy to hear you will keep the meme going by publishing your own post and sending link love to the new blogs you are reading.

I’m not yet free of Shingles. The lesions are healing and hopefully I will not have another outbreak. Sadly, the vaccine available is only effective if used within the first 3 days and I was not diagnosed until the 5th day of the outbreak.

I’m delighted that you are blogging because if you hadn’t made that choice we would never have met and enjoyed each others company on this our current life journey.

  7. Most definitely, can you send me details to add prior to adding my list. My fibro fog has been keeping me from concentrating.

    Thank you my friend,

  9. Congratulations, TT! :)

You are in good company with that list there. I especially love Count Sneaky’s blog, Nothingprofound’s thought provoking aphorisms, and Baxter’s excellent taste in music at The Celtic Music Fan. Lovely!

Your Reading List page is a great idea. I think the time has come for me to compile one too. :P
.-= Tony Single´s last blog ..Infertile, Not Dead =-.

    • Hello there,
Your humor is also an important part of my healing process. I’m so happy that you will accept the award, and keep the meme alive, by passing it on to the bloggers on your reading list.

    • Like you I find music to be an important part of my healing process. I’m honored that you have chosen to accept the award and keep the meme going. I’m interested in visiting the new blogs you award recipients will list.

  10. I’m honored to be on your list, TT. Thank you. Now this is real networking! Blog content and the blogger are more important to me than link-clicking and hit-gathering. I’m off to organize the blogs I enjoy to share back. And knowing the quality of your blog, I will surely find everyone you referred in your post to be a great read. Awesome. cgn
.-= Cindy´s last blog ..Creativity and Aging =-.

    • Hi Nita,
Although we have been in touch on blogging issues for some time and I have been reading your blog for years we have never discussed spirituality. I have been a yoga practitioner and a Buddhist for over 25 years. :)

      • True, and at first I was a little confused about your identity, Brightfeather and TT. :) Ofcourse you are right. I think I knew this, but I have followed your other blog very regularly, much more regularly than this one. But whenever I visited here, I enjoyed reading the posts here. And now you have this new feature here, about the person’s blog post appearing at the bottom of the comment! I think its intriguing. I never knew one could do this. I wonder if you have written about how to do this on your other blog?
.-= Nita´s last blog ..Don’t take the emergency contraceptive pill (ipill) too often! =-.

        • Yes I have two pseudonyms (timethief and brightfeather) and when I first began this blog on my own domain I used “brightfeather” in order to separate it from my blogging tips blog. As time went by I found this was not what I wanted to do.

The new “feature” you are pointing to is not available for wordpress.com blogs as it’s a plugin for wordpress.org installs. It’s called commentluv and can be installed on self hosted wordpress sites like this one.
